Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Professional - Adult (QMHP-A) to join our team at reStart Inc. in the Hampton Roads area.
Job Summary:The QMHP-A will provide direct mental health services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness, assisting them in improving their daily living skills and independent symptom management. This role involves providing goal-directed training services, linking individuals to appropriate resources, and coordinating care with other clinicians.
Responsibilities:- Implement recommendations from the Department of Behavioral Health and other relevant authorities.
- Maintain regular contact with referral sources and other service providers.
- Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and provide a variety of interventions to assist individuals in meeting their goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all information required by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.
- Coordinate scheduling of appointments and provide transportation assistance as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field.
- Registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-A.
- Minimum of one year of continuous clinical full-time experience.
The QMHP-A will spend the majority of their work week in the community with clients, providing services such as medication coordination, goal setting, linkage to services, advocacy, education, and evaluation. Community interactions will include the Department of Behavioral Health, Department of Human Services, local community services boards, courts, schools, and other relevant stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:- Knowledge of Mental Health Skill-building Services policies and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Skills in providing community-based services and supports.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of development and implementation of individualized service plans.
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve.
