Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Professional Adult (QMHP-A) to join our team at Restart Services. As a QMHP-A, you will play a vital role in providing excellent, quality, and impactful mental health services to individuals in the Hampton Roads area.
Job Summary:The QMHP-A will provide direct mental health services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness, focusing on improving their daily living skills and independent symptom management. You will work under the supervision of the Mental Health Skill-Building Services Supervisor/Clinical Director and will be responsible for implementing individualized service plans, linking individuals to community-based services, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement recommendations from the Department of Behavioral Health, Department of Human Services, and/or court systems.
- Maintain regular contact with referral sources and other service providers to monitor progress and ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans (ISPs) to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Provide a variety of interventions to assist individuals in meeting their goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided, as required by DMAS, MCO, and agency-specific regulations.
The QMHP-A will spend the majority of their workweek in the community, working with clients to achieve their ISP goals. This may involve providing medication coordination, goal setting, linkage to services, advocacy, education, and evaluation. Community interactions will include working with the Department of Behavioral Health, Department of Human Services, local community services boards (CSBs), courts, schools, child support enforcement, and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field (Social Work, Human Services Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, Special Education, etc.).
- Registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-A.
- A minimum of one (1) continuous year of demonstrated clinical full-time experience.
