About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Central Processing Technician to join our team at Spectrum Health. As a Central Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, disinfect, assemble, process, and distribute patient care instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Act as a role model and resource to peers and other members of the healthcare team related to processing of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Store, rotate, and ensure all instruments and supplies are correctly labeled.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of sterile processing program (internal or external) required.
  • Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Tech (CSPDT) or Registered Central Services Technician, Certified (CRCST) certification within 1 year required.
