Lone Star College seeks a highly motivated Trainer and Educator to join our team. We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can develop training materials and provide interactive learning experiences for high school students enrolled in the Upward Bound program.

About the Job:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering training sessions to prepare students for the upcoming academic year. This position involves creating engaging and interactive learning environments, taking attendance, maintaining records of assignments and grades, and providing training for standardized testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Upward Bound Program or TRIO programs, as well as experience in secondary education or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to high school students
  • Create interactive learning environments that promote student engagement and motivation
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Provide training for standardized testing
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective training program

Benefits and Requirements:
This is a temporary, grant-funded position with an estimated hourly pay rate of $26.34. Benefits include tuition waiver, participation in a tax-deferred retirement plan, and more. To be considered, applicants must have an Associate's degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience in secondary education or a related field.
