Job Title: Director of Engineering

Ken's Foods, a leading manufacturer of Ken's Salad Dressing and Sweet Baby Rays, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving engineering projects and initiatives that support our business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead major capital expenditure expansions, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain master project schedules, resource allocation, and business disruption planning.
  • Communicate project plans across the organization and ensure effective project documentation.
  • Maintain site master plans and concept layouts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to manage projects at multiple locations.
  • Embed a culture of safety and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Create and support strategic plans for process and packaging line improvements.
  • Optimize documentation systems and processes for engineering.
Food Safety Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example to ensure highest quality manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure team members follow Ken's Food Safety and GMP policies.
  • Ensure all work is completed in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Ensure team members produce product free of contamination.
  • Ensure team members report any suspicious activities.
  • Ensure team members inspect work areas for contamination issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Direct management of Project Engineer team consisting of 5-7 Engineers.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering Degree; minimum of ten years related experience in Food, Beverage, or Dairy industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of Process Piping, Fluid Pumping Systems, and Thermal Processing.
  • Wastewater Treatment skillset preferred, but willingness to learn required.
  • Packaging Systems, Conveyers & Plant Facilities, and Project Management experience.
  • Direct Management experience in managing Capital projects ranging from $25,000 up to $10,000,000.
