We are seeking a motivated Senior Accounting Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role entails executing account reconciliations, processing journal entries, managing month-end closures, balancing assigned accounts, coordinating intercompany transfers, assisting with audits, and overseeing travel expenses while striving for process enhancements. Our collaborative team environment fosters mutual support in achieving our objectives.

Position Overview:

Prepare, review, and input financial documents to ensure the precise and efficient generation of the Profit and Loss statement. Assess and refine existing processes and reports to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Guarantee the correctness of intercompany transfers and entries to prevent discrepancies. A significant aspect of this position involves familiarizing oneself with new systems and processes, as well as aiding in the development and integration of these processes into daily and monthly responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Effective problem-solving and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Balancing intercompany transfers
  • Managing travel expenses
  • Matching inventory with billing and receiving
  • Implementing process improvements
  • Analyzing and reconciling assigned accounts
  • Preparing and maintaining periodic reports
  • Entering journal entries for month-end
Month-End Closing Duties:
  • Finalizing new systems for the month and initiating the new month
  • Calculating and entering assigned journal entries
  • Reviewing and reconciling gross profit between various systems
  • Analyzing and reconciling assigned accounts
  • Reconciling intercompany transfers
  • Balancing accounts across multiple systems
  • Responding to information requests
  • Distributing financial statements
  • Investigating discrepancies
  • Maintaining record retention
Special Projects:
  • Providing schedules for interim and year-end external audits
  • Assisting with bank audits as needed
  • Facilitating the understanding and integration of new systems into current processes to support the transition of ABC locations
  • Identifying issues and conducting necessary reviews and reconciliations in new systems
  • Engaging in additional projects as required
