Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team at Advance Services, Inc. This role is essential in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accounts Payable Management: Handle accounts payable functions, including cost accounting related to inventory items such as duties and incentives.
  2. Tax Calculation and Reporting: Assist in the calculation and reporting of Sales, Use, and Tobacco Tax, with comprehensive in-house training provided.
  3. Royalty Payment Calculations: Calculate quarterly royalty payments owed to international vendors.
  4. Accrual-Based Accounting: Ensure familiarity with accrual-based accounting principles and their impact on financial statements, ensuring transactions are recorded in the correct period and General Ledger accounts.
  5. Journal Entries: Create journal entries and balance General Ledger accounts effectively.
  6. QuickBooks Transactions: Assist with transactions for a secondary company utilizing QuickBooks.
  7. Additional Duties: Perform various tasks as assigned within the accounting department.
Qualifications
  1. Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  3. Experience with Dynamics GP is advantageous.
