Job Summary

The Security Officer II performs critical duties to ensure the safety and security of staff, patients, visitors, and property at Titus Regional Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular security patrols inside and outside the hospital to maintain vigilance and prevent potential threats.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors to ensure a secure and respectful environment.
  • Operate TRMC vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to prescribed safety standards.
  • Assist with disaster calls, fire calls, lab transports, and bomb threats, following established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct on-scene investigations of incidents and accident reports, including interviewing employees and witnesses.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as requested and needed to ensure the security program runs smoothly.
  • Assist in planning the security program and activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Work varying rotational or assigned shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and weekdays, to meet the needs of the hospital.
  • Adhere to and follow all patient experience initiatives to ensure a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Report to and depart from work on time and as scheduled, maintaining a professional and respectful attitude.
Requirements
  • One year of Security Officer II experience preferred.
  • Two years' experience in Law Enforcement training, security-related armed service, institutional security program, or honorable military service preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws preferred.
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Security Officer license with the Texas Board of Private Investigators and Private Security Agencies preferred.
  • College degree in security or related field preferred.
