Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our award-winning Cardiovascular team at Trident Medical Center.

About the Role

As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing routine heart surgery procedures, thoracic procedures, and valve surgeries, including TAVR and mitral valve procedures.

Requirements
  • Board Certified and/or Eligible candidates with experience in cardiothoracic surgery
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of cases
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

About Trident Medical Center

Trident Medical Center is a 321-bed major medical center with a Level II Trauma Center and 24/7 intensive care coverage. We are a designated Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and are seeking Comprehensive Stroke Designation. Our CV program has earned two consecutive year 3-star STS ratings in 2020 and 2021.

About the Opportunity

Our current practice works with multiple Cardiology groups, with a strong mix of Interventionalists, medical cardiologists, and some of the leading EP and CHF specialists in the region. We have a high annualized caseload, with 200+ CABGs, 60+ surgical valves, and 50 TAVRs.

Our CV Surgery infrastructure includes 2 CVORs with dedicated CV Anesthesia and 3 PAs covering inpatient, office, and surgical work. You will have the opportunity to work in an extraordinary coastal city, rich in history and traditions, with access to coastal waters and beaches.
