Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Software Engineering to lead our team of software engineers in developing and delivering high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement software engineering strategies and roadmaps to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver software products that meet business requirements and customer needs.
  • Design and develop software architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in software engineering practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on leadership and management.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in software engineering, architecture, and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment.
