Job Title: Director, Software Engineering

Job Summary:

Fidelity Investments is seeking a highly skilled Director, Software Engineering to lead our software development teams in building and maintaining complex cloud-based data warehouses. As a key member of our technical leadership team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable cloud solutions using public cloud computing tools such as Snowflake, AWS EC2, and EMR. You will also be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver major technology initiatives and consulting on the development and delivery of major technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of cloud-based data warehouses using public cloud computing tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver major technology initiatives.
  • Consult on the development and delivery of major technology projects.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams.
  • Identify and recommend new technologies to support business unit-wide solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Strong technical skills in cloud computing, data warehousing, and software development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing tools such as Snowflake, AWS EC2, and EMR.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience with technical leadership and team management.
