Interpath Laboratory is looking for enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.

In this position, successful candidates will engage in various aspects of laboratory operations, including:

  • Patient reception and specimen collection
  • Specimen processing and reporting

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Schedule: As-needed basis (PRN)

Location: Patient Service Center

Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements: At least one year of phlebotomy experience in a professional environment, along with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing administrative tasks while delivering exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and colleagues.
  • Answering phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Identifying optimal methods for specimen collection and preparing samples for laboratory analysis.

Attention to detail is crucial, as candidates will be responsible for:

  • Verifying specimen information and performing accurate data entry.
  • Maintaining specimen integrity from collection to transfer to technical staff.

Adherence to HIPAA regulations and Medicare guidelines is essential to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance.

Active participation in departmental quality assurance initiatives is expected, along with following established internal quality protocols.

Judging the adequacy of submitted specimens and covering shifts at various locations as needed are also part of the role.
