Job Overview

Ilderton Conversion - High Point is seeking a skilled technician to enhance our team. If you have a passion for automotive wiring and enjoy working with emergency lighting systems, we are eager to connect with you. Our technicians focus on servicing law enforcement vehicles, encompassing both maintenance and the installation of specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience with automotive electronics, such as car audio systems, alarms, or body modifications. This is a full-time position with opportunities for bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and evaluate 12-volt equipment for law enforcement vehicles.
  • Set up light bars, sirens, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, video systems, laptops, printers, consoles, transport partitions, and K-9 enclosures.
  • Remove and reinstall vehicle interiors and trim components.
  • Adhere to company protocols for equipment installation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Engage in continuous learning regarding new products and techniques from peers and manufacturers.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork.
  • Report any issues, required parts, and potential delays to the management team.
Qualifications:
  • 0-1 year of experience in automotive wiring or related 12-volt electrical work.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems.
  • Ability to follow directions, assess problems, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • Experience with law enforcement vehicles is a plus.
