Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled paralegal to become an integral part of our legal team at The Employment Law Solution. This role involves drafting essential legal documents, conducting thorough legal research, and maintaining organized case files. Compensation:

$75,000 + bonus

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, and complaints.
  • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers for effective service.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Creating initial drafts of requests for interrogatories and document production.
  • Preparing basic legal documents for court filing.
  • Managing litigation case dockets for multiple significant clients.
  • Utilizing document management software for case and file organization.
  • Monitoring and calendaring critical deadlines.
  • Maintaining organized pleadings and discovery indexes.
  • E-filing documents through CM/ECF.
  • Conducting fundamental legal and factual research.
  • Participating in arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.
  • Preparing chronologies and summaries for depositions.
  • Assembling document binders for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Acting as a liaison between attorneys, clients, courts, and witnesses.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal specializing in employment law or civil litigation.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with federal court exposure.
  • A college degree.
  • Knowledge of Federal Civil Procedure and Court Rules.
  • Experience in drafting discovery requests and litigation documents.
  • Familiarity with document databases such as Relativity or Logikcull is preferred.
  • Experience with software like Smokeball, Trial Director, or Clio is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • A commendable work ethic and interpersonal skills.
