Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced paralegal to support our legal team in handling employment law cases. This role involves drafting essential legal documents, conducting thorough legal research, and maintaining organized case files. Compensation:

$75,000 + bonus

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, and legal briefs.
  • Draft subpoenas and liaise with process servers.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Preparing initial drafts of requests for interrogatories and production of documents.
  • Creating initial drafts of various legal documents for court filing.
  • Managing litigation case dockets for multiple clients.
  • Overseeing case and file management using document management software.
  • Monitoring and calendaring important deadlines.
  • Maintaining indexes for pleadings and discovery.
  • E-filing documents through the appropriate electronic systems.
  • Conducting basic legal and factual research.
  • Participating in depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.
  • Preparing chronologies and summaries for depositions.
  • Compiling document binders for hearings and trials.
  • Acting as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and witnesses.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal focused on employment law or civil litigation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with federal court exposure.
  • A college degree.
  • Knowledge of Federal Civil Procedure and Court Rules.
  • Experience drafting discovery requests and litigation documents.
  • Familiarity with document databases is preferred.
  • Experience with specific legal software is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • A strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
