We are seeking a meticulous and experienced paralegal to contribute significantly to our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting essential legal documents, conducting thorough legal research for trial preparations, and maintaining organized case files and documentation.
Compensation:$75,000 + bonus
Key Responsibilities:- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, and legal briefs.
- Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers for timely delivery.
Your primary duties will encompass:
- Creating initial drafts of requests for interrogatories and document production.
- Preparing basic legal documents for court filing.
- Managing litigation case dockets for multiple significant clients.
- Overseeing case and file management using document management software.
- Monitoring and calendaring important deadlines.
- Maintaining organized pleadings and discovery indexes.
- E-filing documents through the appropriate electronic systems.
- Conducting fundamental legal and factual research.
- Participating in arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and trials as required.
- Preparing chronologies and summaries for depositions.
- Creating document binders for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Acting as a liaison between attorneys, clients, courts, and witnesses.
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal focusing on employment law or civil litigation.
- 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with federal court exposure.
- A college degree.
- Knowledge of Federal Civil Procedure and Court Rules.
- Experience in drafting discovery requests and litigation documents.
- Familiarity with document databases and management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- A strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
