Shifts Available:
  • 2nd Shift:
    • Sunday to Thursday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM OR
    • Tuesday to Saturday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM
Position Summary:

The role involves maintaining the facility and equipment to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with food production regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations regarding safety and quality, including lockout/tagout procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), allergen management, and company-specific policies.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment by applying 5S principles and performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in optimal working condition; report any defective materials or damaged tools to the supervisor.
  • Accurately complete necessary reports and documentation, such as production datasheets and order records.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and facilities to ensure the production of safe and high-quality products.
  • Follow the master cleaning schedule and specific job assignments, which may include equipment sanitation.
  • Exercise caution when handling cleaning and sanitizing agents, adhering to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and other safety requirements.
  • Sanitize and clean assigned manufacturing equipment, systems, pumps, and tanks, dismantling as necessary to meet food safety standards before reassembly.
  • May be required to enter confined spaces for cleaning, following established safety protocols.
  • Communicate with management and supervisors regarding the readiness of equipment for operations.
  • May operate equipment to maintain clean floors in production areas, removing dirt, spills, and debris.
  • May be responsible for emptying waste containers and cleaning walls and equipment.
  • Inspect and clean assigned metal detectors and magnets daily, documenting findings on the HACCP log.
  • Report any defective materials or spills that require extended cleaning time to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to be trained in confined space entry and fall protection.
  • Basic computer skills, preferably in MS Office.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and climb stairs.
  • Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach to clean various areas, as well as push mops, brooms, and vacuums.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to enter small or tight spaces.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions.
