Job Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Client Engagement is responsible for steering the strategic growth initiatives within the organization. This role involves safeguarding existing revenue streams with major corporate clients while continuously exploring new avenues for revenue generation. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential markets and implementing strategies that ensure a robust long-term business pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the strategic direction and operational management of client engagement efforts in the region.
2. Foster a culture of continuous improvement across all relevant organizational processes.
3. Anticipate challenges and seize opportunities to enhance the company’s market position.
4. Oversee multiple large-scale initiatives that significantly impact the organization.
5. Execute the business plan effectively, focusing on key hires, client service, and project delivery.
6. Build and nurture cohesive teams while establishing strong relationships across various divisions.
7. Collaborate with Human Resources to devise strategies for attracting and retaining top-tier talent.
Essential Duties:
- Drive strategic growth priorities for the Upper Midwest Environmental Consulting division.
- Set clear business development expectations and evaluate new market opportunities.
- Implement the Client Service Leader (CSL) Program and establish business development budgets.
- Develop innovative lead generation strategies utilizing webinars and social media.
- Engage in association and event planning to enhance visibility and networking.
- Assess backlog, forecast, and pipeline metrics to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Collaboration:
Work closely with division leaders to align regional business development goals with overall growth objectives, ensuring accountability for execution.
Client Management:
- Position the organization for large project opportunities and communicate effectively with clients regarding pricing and expectations.
- Prepare comprehensive project proposals and conduct technical reviews of deliverables.
- Manage risks associated with projects and client relationships through established policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in a related field, including 10 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and client relationship management (CRM) software.
Physical and Mental Demands:
The role may require continuous sitting or standing, as well as occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. The individual must be able to perform essential functions effectively in both office and job site environments.
Travel Requirements:
This position may involve local and national travel, typically ranging from 10-15% annually.
