About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team as a Substance Abuse Counselor. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing holistic care to individuals struggling with behavioral health and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' substance abuse issues, mental health concerns, and co-occurring disorders.
  2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices, to guide clients on their path to recovery.
  3. Virtual Therapy Sessions: Provide high-quality virtual therapy sessions to clients, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to deliver care remotely.
  4. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure coordinated and holistic treatment.
  5. Progress Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to address evolving needs.
  6. Education and Advocacy: Educate clients and their families on substance abuse, recovery principles, and coping strategies, and advocate for clients by coordinating with external agencies and community resources.
  7. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  8. Professional Development: Earn credentials for Clinical License, supported by our organization's commitment to ongoing professional development.
  9. Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  1. Master's Degree: Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  2. Current Licensure: Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  3. Specialized Training: Specialized training or certification in substance abuse counseling.
  4. Experience: Experience in substance abuse counseling within a clinical setting.
  5. Virtual Therapy Skills: Proficiency in providing virtual therapy services.
  6. Evidence-Based Practices: Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in substance abuse treatment.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  9. Adherence to Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines.
