The School of Nursing and Health Sciences is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic faculty member to enhance our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. We are looking for candidates who are eager to become an essential part of our nursing department, which is housed within the innovative School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
We invite applications for non-tenure track positions (Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor) on a 9-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pediatric nursing curriculum development, NCLEX preparation, and both clinical and theoretical instruction in pediatric nursing. Experience in simulation design and assessment is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate courses focused on pediatric nursing practice and other relevant subjects based on expertise.
- Provide academic advising to students.
- Engage in curriculum evaluation and enhancement, ensuring compliance with state and national accreditation standards.
- Participate in governance and assessment of all nursing program components.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in nursing is required; a Doctorate is preferred.
- Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts, along with CPR certification and recommended immunizations.
- A minimum of two years of full-time pediatric nursing experience within the last five years is essential, along with evidence of clinical competence in instructional roles.
- A strong commitment to professional service and outstanding clinical skills in pediatric nursing are required.
- Understanding of healthcare disparities and the needs of underserved populations is crucial.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity in research, education, and clinical practice is expected.
