Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor in Nursing

Position Overview:

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking a dedicated and dynamic faculty member to contribute to our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. We invite applications for non-tenure track positions at the Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor level.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our nursing department, which is committed to excellence in nursing education. The institution has recently unveiled a modern Nursing Center, equipped with advanced simulation labs, classrooms, and collaborative spaces designed to enhance the learning experience.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have a robust background in medical-surgical nursing curriculum development, NCLEX preparation, and both clinical and theoretical instruction. Experience in simulation education is advantageous. Responsibilities will include:

1. Teaching undergraduate courses in medical-surgical or general nursing practice.
2. Advising students and supporting their academic journeys.
3. Contributing to curriculum evaluation and improvement efforts.
4. Maintaining accreditation standards and participating in governance activities.

Qualifications:

1. A Master's degree in nursing is required; a Doctorate is preferred.
2. An active Massachusetts state RN license and CPR certification.
3. A minimum of two years of full-time experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or critical care nursing within the last five years.
4. Evidence of clinical competence and experience in nursing education at the college level is preferred.
5. A defined research agenda that aligns with the candidate's career stage.
6. Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical nursing to support educational initiatives.
7. A commitment to understanding healthcare disparities and serving diverse communities.
