At HealthFund Solutions LLC, we advocate for uninsured individuals and collaborate with healthcare providers. With extensive experience in the healthcare sector, we recognize the increasing need to assist those without health insurance. Through various programs, including Medicaid screening and premium monitoring, we empower patients to obtain the necessary coverage and care.
Reporting to the Regional/Eligibility Manager, the Medicaid and Disability Caseworker will facilitate processes to ensure that patients receive eligible funding for healthcare services. This role involves assisting patients and their families in completing necessary forms and applications. Caseworkers will conduct screenings via phone or mail to determine eligibility for Federal, State, and County programs, including Medicaid, Disability, and ACA Marketplace Insurance. This is a full-time onsite role supporting a Medical Center, with shifts available from Tuesday to Saturday. The shifts include 8:00am-4:30pm, 11:00am-7:30pm, and 12:30pm-9:00pm, with a pay range of $20-$22 per hour based on experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Florida Medicaid, Disability, or DCF is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily screenings through phone or mail.
- Make appropriate referrals to Sponsorship programs.
- File necessary applications and follow up on their status until resolution.
- Collect and submit required documentation.
- Request and file hearings as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
- Assess patient information to determine eligibility.
- Prepare and review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical assistance regarding various programs offered by HFS.
- Maintain and manage patient files and databases.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with HFS and hospital staff.
- Scrub secondary accounts based on contract guidelines.
- Update insurance information in hospital systems for billing purposes.
- May require working evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Florida Medicaid eligibility criteria.
- Experience with full cycle Florida Medicaid applications preferred.
- Familiarity with Disability applications for both Medicaid and Social Security.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Self-directed with effective stress management abilities.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and active auto insurance is required.
- Remote/Hybrid Work: If required to work from home, a minimum internet speed of 75Mbps and a reliable cellular signal are necessary for effective job performance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while entering data.
- Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused for long durations.
