Job Summary

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to join our team at All Medical Personnel. As a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant, you will provide quality psychiatric nursing care to patients under the clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This is an entry-level position that requires a strong foundation in patient care techniques and treatment programs.

About the Role

This role involves providing emergency, health, and personal care services to patients. You will work closely with the healthcare team to promote living and social skills, encouraging progress towards a lesser restrictive environment. Your responsibilities will include participating in shift reports, recovery team meetings, and admission team meetings. You will also use therapeutic communication skills to engage patients in meeting their individual recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care services under the clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, and eating to promote independence and self-care
  • Monitor patients as assigned and ensure their health and safety
  • Escort patients to appointments as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong foundation in patient care techniques and treatment programs
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $42,000 per year, which is equivalent to $20.13 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek. In addition to your salary, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
