Our company, Epes Transport System, LLC, is the largest truckload carrier based in NC. We are seeking a Field HR Manager to lead HR initiatives, protocols, and policies within a defined operational territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring enterprise programs, identifying and designing solutions to address local retention challenges, and supporting diversity and inclusion efforts. Additionally, they will coach new leaders in people management, support new leaders as they take on new people processes, and partner with location leaders to ensure associates receive dedicated time for required functional training. The ideal candidate will have a BS or BA degree, a minimum of three years of experience in staffing and human resources, and knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance issues. They will also possess strong collaboration skills, a high level of honesty, integrity, and ethics, and the ability to effectively manage projects to timely completion. The Field HR Manager will work closely with the HR team to analyze turnover, retention, LOA, workers comp, and exit interview data to determine human capital strategies for the territory. They will also analyze recruiting and turnover trends and follow through on actions needed to address them. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, a creative and independent self-starter who excels in a fast-paced environment, and able to travel as necessary (approximately 50%).
