Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Branch Manager II to join our team at OneAZ Credit Union. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily operations, sales, and member service of our full-service Credit Union branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Branch Manager in directing and coordinating activities to implement Credit Union policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Direct activities involving implementation of establishment services and functions, including collecting delinquent accounts, authorizing loans, and opening savings accounts.
  • Assist in establishing procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in developing branch goals and action plans to achieve those goals, while continuously monitoring branch performance.
  • Educate, promote, and sell various Credit Union products and services to members.
  • Partner with the Branch Manager to conduct community outreach efforts to promote brand awareness, establish and strengthen local community relationships, and support member growth.
  • Lead the branch team of associates, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Prepare financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, Credit Union management, and the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain branch reports for internal use, the Board of Directors, and Corporate Officers.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and staffing and facility needs.
  • Examine, evaluate, and process loan applications.
  • Work directly with members to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Open, secure, and close the branch as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of sales, customer service, or client-facing experience required.
  • Experience within a financial institution required.
  • Experience with policy and procedure compliance and management.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
