Senior Branch Operations Manager

The Senior Branch Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions, sales, and member services of a comprehensive Credit Union branch. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and empowering the Assistant Branch Manager and branch staff to exceed member expectations while managing risks and fostering organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the flow of cash and financial instruments in line with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the risk associated with all financial transactions conducted by branch personnel.
- Direct and coordinate activities to implement Credit Union policies regarding credit lines, real estate loans, and consumer credit.
- Oversee the establishment of services including the collection of delinquent accounts and the authorization of loans.
- Establish protocols for the custody and control of assets, records, and securities to ensure their safekeeping.
- Develop branch objectives and action plans to meet those objectives while continuously monitoring performance.
- Promote and sell various Credit Union products and services to members.
- Engage in community outreach to enhance brand visibility and strengthen local relationships.
- Lead a team of branch associates, including responsibilities for hiring, training, and performance management.
- Analyze financial data to assess the current and future financial status of the branch.
- Prepare reports to comply with regulatory requirements and internal management needs.
- Monitor annual budgets and assess staffing and facility requirements.
- Review and process loan applications.
- Address member issues and concerns directly.
- Maintain relationships with industries related to banking, such as insurance and real estate.
- Collaborate with internal partners, including Business Development Officers and Loan Officers.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: 5-10 years in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles; at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity within a financial institution.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills; proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.
