Job Summary

Timber Products Co. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Operations Supervisor to oversee the electrical department and ensure minimal downtime for equipment maintenance and repairs. This is a key role that supports the company's production goals by supervising the mill's electrical equipment maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all equipment maintenance and repair activities for the Particleboard plant, making frequent decisions regarding maintenance schedules, priority of equipment repairs, overtime, and staffing needs.
  • Lead employees to ensure minimal equipment downtime for maintenance and repair, and assist in resolving technical equipment repair problems.
  • Responsible for completing projects on time and within budget, and order parts, equipment, and tools as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain the preventative maintenance program for the designated operations, and implement specific maintenance schedules for assigned mill equipment.
  • Assist with environmental affairs, including meeting air and water quality standards, testing, and meeting permit requirements.
  • Work with assigned safety committees, assist with inspections and investigations, and follow up on hazard reporting.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality control standards to maximize company profitability and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Complete administrative paperwork and reporting related to production reports, scheduling, personnel actions, timekeeping, and safety.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of electrical/maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a wood products or other manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and practical success supervising industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance crews.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, management, and contractors.
  • 2 Years formal, technical training in electrical/mechanical principles, and the ability to read blueprints.
  • PLC and HMI expertise is essential, and a Licensed Electrician is preferred.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to learn and use company-specific software.
