Job Summary:

The Master Control Switcher position at Imagicomm Communications LLC involves monitoring and delivering on-air broadcast signals, recording programs from satellite and fiber feeds for later use, setting up automated playlists for programming and commercials, and monitoring transmitter and other signal distribution for compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of broadcast signals between programs and commercials.
  • Operate automation systems, video servers, satellite receivers, file-based content delivery systems, and related computer systems.
  • Acquire and prepare content for broadcast.
  • Run live sporting and other live events.
  • Log all discrepancies, maintain transmitter logs, and monitor multiple signals simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with the Programming, Traffic, Engineering, Sales, and Production departments.
  • Maintain effective communication with key staff members throughout the shift and assist all departments or individuals to promote quality broadcasting.
  • Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure stations are operated on-time and efficiently.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous on-air television switching experience is preferred but not required.
  • A good understanding of broadcast signal standards.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • A thorough understanding of computer operations, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A cool head under pressure and a strong attention to detail.
  • A willingness to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
