Job Title: Field Service Technician (Industrial)

Korn Ferry Executive Search is partnering with our client to find a skilled Field Service Technician for a remote position based in the Scranton/Northeast PA area.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and heavy-duty refrigeration systems, with experience working with ammonia and Freon in large production environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and service of refrigeration systems, as well as working closely with our sales staff to develop long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and service of refrigeration systems
  • Perform scheduled and contract industrial ammonia refrigeration system maintenance at client facilities
  • Assist with system/equipment installations and equipment start-up/commissioning at facilities
  • Work closely with RD&S service coordinators and sales staff to develop long-term client relationships
  • Prepare recommendations for client facility service/equipment replacement based on service visit
Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • At least 4 years of U.S. Military experience
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical skills required
  • Certifications Required: EPA, OSHA 10, ammonia awareness, HAZWOPER, and equipment operation (lull, scissor lift, forklift)
  • Background in industrial and heavy-duty refrigeration systems (experience with ammonia and Freon in large production environment preferred)
  • Strong client interfacing skills
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate ($/hr, DOE) and a company vehicle. This is a high-travel position, with 90% travel from home to job sites within the assigned territory. No overnight travel is required, and you will be home every evening.
