As a Call Center Associate, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the Transportation Coordination Center, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between drivers, departments, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating daily work schedules for drivers and making adjustments as needed
  • Monitoring drivers and coordinating communications during disasters
  • Receiving emergent and non-emergent requests for patient movement
  • Coordinating radio, cellular, paging, and communications between drivers and departments
  • Maintaining daily logs and registers, as well as computer records
  • Inputting call data into the computer and completing additional assignments as directed by supervisory staff
  • Managing and forwarding paperwork logs and ambulance call reports

Requirements:

  • Current New York State Emergency Medical Technician Certification or higher
  • New York State Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous on-the-job computer/database experience
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment (an asset)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in accordance with hospital standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and standards
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
