Rescar Companies is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a Railcar Customer Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Railcar Customer Service Supervisor will oversee the tracking of railcars within the network, ensuring that customer requirements are documented and communicated effectively to staff. This role involves monitoring response times, addressing customer concerns, and managing special projects. Candidates should possess prior experience in the rail industry and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, alongside a robust background in customer service complemented by excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in railcar fleet management or related sectors is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to, the following:

Act as the primary liaison for customers, addressing inquiries and requests related to maintenance services for railcars. Provide technical information regarding tank, hopper, and other railcar repair, cleaning, and coating specifications and procedures. Clarify maintenance procedures necessary for railcar upkeep. Assist customers in scheduling required project work on railcars and establish a clear communication strategy among customers, plant management, and corporate customer service to ensure that servicing requirements and scheduling commitments are fulfilled. Ensure that customer and Rescar database systems accurately reflect the maintenance status and timelines of railcars. Collaborate with the internal Quality Assurance department to monitor and address customer complaints promptly. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education High School Diploma or GED Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) or Equivalent Experience Experience Minimum of 5 years in railcar maintenance planning and fleet management; or 5 years in railcar (Tank and Hopper) repair, cleaning, or coating processes; or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Railcar Maintenance Expertise - Understanding of railcar repair, cleaning, and coating/painting procedures. Regulatory Knowledge - Strong familiarity with AAR and FRA regulations, as well as Tank Car Maintenance Regulations; awareness of current regulatory requirements. General NDT Knowledge - Basic understanding of NDT processes and their application in railcar maintenance. Customer Service Proficiency - Ability to foster strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
