The Building Automation Systems Operations Supervisor is at the helm of a team tasked with executing service operations for building automation systems. Why is this role crucial? The ideal candidate will orchestrate specialist and technician activities across all installed projects, technical support initiatives, and time-and-materials (T&M) assignments to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, train, and mentor the service team; establish objectives, evaluate performance, conduct employee review sessions, and organize formal training.
  • Plan and allocate tasks to the team while driving business expansion by leading a highly effective workforce. Occasionally assist the team with maintenance tasks and the submission of necessary documentation.
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities, including T&M, system enhancements, and service contract extensions, and complete and submit detailed service orders and reports covering all aspects of each task and activity.
  • Engage in the sales-to-service and projects-to-service transition process, including final project evaluations, service agreement scope assessments, and the final information handover to the inspection team.
  • Support contract profitability through effective cost management procedures and processes.
  • Ensure contract obligations are met and performed to a high standard while cultivating customer relationships and maintaining elevated levels of customer satisfaction through effective and timely communication.
  • Assess technical labor requirements and ensure an appropriate balance of talent to meet customer demands.
  • Promote safety compliance by ensuring team members meet or exceed organizational and customer safety standards. Ensure all employees receive proper training on safety protocols and enforce adherence to organizational processes, tools, and workflow standards.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from a two-year college or technical institution.
  • 1+ years of experience as a specialist or technician in a related field.
  • Hands-on or educational experience with HVAC or Building Automation systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with minimal violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continuous and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a specialist or technician in a related field.
  • Experience in supervising teams.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar software.
