The Building Automation Systems Operations Supervisor is at the helm of a team tasked with executing service operations for building automation systems. Why is this role crucial? The ideal candidate will oversee specialist and technician activities for all installed projects, technical support initiatives, and time-and-materials (T&M) tasks to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and mentor the service team; establish objectives, assess performance, conduct employee evaluations, and arrange formal training sessions.
  • Organize and delegate tasks to the team while driving business growth by fostering a highly effective workforce. Occasionally assist the team with maintenance tasks and the submission of necessary documentation.
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities, including T&M, system enhancements, and service contract expansions, and prepare comprehensive service orders and reports detailing all aspects of each task and activity.
  • Engage in the transition process from sales to service and from projects to service, which includes final project inspections, service agreement scope assessments, and the handover of final information to the inspection team.
  • Support contract profitability through effective cost management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and uphold high standards of performance while cultivating customer relationships and maintaining elevated levels of customer satisfaction through effective and timely communication.
  • Assess technical labor requirements and ensure an appropriate balance of skills to meet customer demands.
  • Promote safety compliance by ensuring that team members meet or exceed organizational and customer safety standards. Provide necessary training on all safety protocols and enforce adherence to organizational processes, tools, and workflow standards.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate degree from an accredited two-year college or technical institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a specialist or technician in a related field.
  • Practical or educational experience with HVAC or Building Automation systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with minimal violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continuous and permanent basis without the need for company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a specialist or technician in a related field.
  • Experience in supervising teams.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar software.
