The Building Automation Systems Operations Supervisor is at the helm of a team tasked with executing service operations for building automation systems. Why is this role crucial? The ideal candidate will orchestrate specialist and technician activities across all installed projects, technical support initiatives, and time-and-materials (T&M) tasks to ensure timely delivery while meeting customer expectations and commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, train, and mentor the service team; establish objectives, assess performance, conduct employee evaluations, and organize formal training sessions.
  • Plan and allocate tasks to the team, driving business growth by leading a highly effective group. Occasionally assist the team with maintenance tasks and submission of necessary documentation.
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities, including T&M, system enhancements, and service contract expansions, and prepare and submit detailed service orders and reports covering all aspects of each task and activity.
  • Engage in the sales-to-service and projects-to-service transition process, including final project inspections, service agreement scope assessments, and the transfer of final information to the inspection team.
  • Support contract profitability through effective cost management practices.
  • Ensure contract obligations are fulfilled to a high standard, fostering customer relationships and maintaining elevated levels of customer satisfaction through effective and timely communication.
  • Assess technical labor requirements and ensure an appropriate balance of skills to meet customer demands.
  • Promote safety compliance by ensuring that team members meet or exceed organizational and customer safety standards. Ensure that employees receive proper training on all safety protocols and enforce adherence to organizational processes, tools, and workflow standards.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate degree from a two-year college or technical institution.
  • 1+ years of experience as a specialist or technician in a related field.
  • Practical or educational experience with HVAC or Building Automation systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with minimal violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a specialist or technician in a related field.
  • Experience in supervising teams.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar software.
