Job Summary

As a Technical Support Specialist at LoudounTec, you will play a critical role in supporting a large mission critical development and sustainment program. You will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks in support of operations, production, and test environments. This includes troubleshooting, resolving issues, and providing technical assistance to remotely located users.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Tier I and Tier II support for technical issues

Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner

Collaborate with the team to identify and implement solutions

Document problems and resolutions through a tracking program

Requirements

6+ years of directly relevant experience

Experience with monitoring system health and status

Experience with ITIL methodology

Experience interfacing with software development, testing, integration, deployment, sustainment, maintenance, etc.

Desired Skills

Experience with shell scripts: Bourne, C, Krone, Bash, Perl, etc.

Experience with TCP/IP, Cisco switches and routers, VLAN, firewall, VPN, storage arrays (RAID, Blades), etc.

Experience performing incident response (tiered support model), using an Incident Management System.

Education

HS diploma

Certifications

DoD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification
