Role Description:

The Senior Director/Director of Product Marketing will play a pivotal role in defining the strategy and supporting the execution of the marketing go-to-market for cloud native applications. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this leader will be responsible for driving messaging, content strategy, and programs to reach developers and CIO/CTOs positioning Salesforce as their partner for accelerating cloud native application development and delivery.

Responsibilities:

As Senior Director, you will be part of Salesforce's marketing leadership team and instrumental in shaping our go-to-market and presence in the industry. You will lead a team of product marketers in the definition and effective execution of the marketing strategy and foster an environment of creativity and experimentation to grow this business. You will have demonstrable experience in all areas of product marketing - product and solution positioning & messaging, go-to-market strategy and planning, content creation and delivery, enablement, customer & competitive intelligence.

Key Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, sales, or go-to-market background.
  • Experience marketing to developer and IT Executive audiences and knowledge of cloud native, open source, Kubernetes, and developer tool ecosystems.
  • Demonstrable expertise in all areas of product marketing - product and solution positioning & messaging, go-to-market strategy and planning, content creation and delivery, enablement, customer & competitive intelligence, etc.
  • Passion for building, driving alignment, influencing, and managing a team with experience in recruiting, leading and inspiring a team of product marketers.
  • Experience in defining strategy and coaching teams through execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to executive leaders, cross-functional partners, customers, and partners.
  • Expertise in creating strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and align with global stakeholders.
  • Experience in building scalable programs and demonstrate the ability to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making as well as a consistent track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics.
  • Fostering an environment of continuous experimentation and improvement, with a winning attitude that inspires optimism, fun, and the desire to always be learning.
