Position Summary:

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will collaborate closely with experienced engineers and project leaders to deepen your knowledge and expertise in the design and construction of wastewater management systems.

Your role will be pivotal in maintaining our esteemed reputation for excellence in client relations and project execution.


Key Responsibilities:

This position involves supporting various projects and clients throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of wastewater treatment facilities, collection networks, and pumping stations. You will also be responsible for generating construction documentation, specifications, and providing engineering support during the construction phase.


Specific Duties Include:
  • Leading the preparation of comprehensive engineering calculations and analyses.
  • Completing design assignments within established budgets and timelines.
  • Drafting scopes of work, cost estimates, and other essential project documentation.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and technical staff while supporting their work.
  • Engaging directly with clients to assess their needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Ensuring adherence to all company practices, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Traveling as necessary for client meetings and project site evaluations (up to 25%).

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the wastewater sector.

Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including project management, task prioritization, and budget oversight.
  • Experience in the design and construction of municipal wastewater treatment facilities, particularly in expansion and rehabilitation projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse project teams, both locally and remotely.
  • Proficiency in developing project drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Client-facing experience with skills in proposal development and relationship management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Connecticut or neighboring states.
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the field.
  • Active involvement in local or national professional associations.
