In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic group of engineers who value teamwork and creativity. You will encounter unique challenges and spearhead the development of groundbreaking applications aimed at solving complex PCB manufacturing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain robust and scalable web applications utilizing Python.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to collect and define project specifications.
  • Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to fellow team members.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in software development.

Qualifications:

  • A 2-year or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Software Developer or in a comparable position.
  • Proficiency in Python, with a solid grasp of its ecosystem and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a GitHub profile.

Working Conditions: This position is remote, with the expectation of occasional in-person collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for key interactions, which may involve limited travel.

Compensation and Benefits: Summit offers a comprehensive array of health and benefit programs, including Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA plans, Hospital and Accident plans, Life Insurance, PTO, Matching 401K, and Paid Holidays. Benefits become effective on the first day of the month following the date of hire.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
