This is a Direct Hire opportunity for an Equipment Maintenance Specialist based in Oregon

As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication machinery while collaborating closely with factory management to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Engaging with colleagues, supervisors, and the engineering team to thoroughly analyze root causes of failures and leverage insights to enhance equipment availability in alignment with production objectives.
  • Coordinating with vendors, field service personnel, and technical representatives, with potential attendance at training sessions and seminars as required.
  • Documenting all maintenance activities performed on equipment.
  • Participating in shift handover meetings to communicate daily operations.
  • This role is situated in a factory setting, necessitating the use of cleanroom attire and adherence to cleanroom protocols.
  • Compliance with PPE requirements and potential exposure to hazardous materials may be necessary.

This is a full-time, Direct Hire position.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • An associate degree in a technical field or equivalent military experience is mandatory, with rare exceptions for highly experienced technicians.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-volume semiconductor environment, maintaining at least one of the specified tools.
  • Strict adherence to all safety protocols established by the company.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others to drive improvements through experimentation and standardization.
  • Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of workplace dynamics.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Comfort with navigating and operating computer systems.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • A hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership over tasks.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours per shift and lift weights exceeding 35 pounds.
  • Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks that may involve bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
SPECIFIC REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • We seek candidates with expertise and strong skills in at least one of the following tool families:
    • Thin Films CVD Equipment, including Novellus Concept Two (C-2) and/or Mattson Aspen II and/or SPTS fxP Delta. Senior experience with any modern CVD platform will be considered.
    • Thin Films IMPLANT Equipment, including Varian and/or Axcelis Implanters, with preference for experience with Axcelis 8200 and/or GSD AMAT/Varian E-500. Senior experience with comparable implanters will be considered.
    • Thin Films Sputter Deposition (PVD Equipment), including Trikon Sigma 200 and/or Aviza/SPTS fxP Sigma and/or AMAT Endura. Senior experience with comparable sputter tools will be considered.
    • Etch HDP, including Aviza/SPTS fxP Sigma. Experience with any modern HDP cluster tool (AMAT, etc.) will be considered.
  • Strong RF troubleshooting experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in conducting technical training is highly valued, as the candidate will be expected to train others.
  • Willingness to work night shifts is highly desirable.
  • Ability to edit and create specifications, training materials, and other technical documentation is highly desirable.

Compensation: $42.00 per hour
