- Utilize prescribed methods for assembly work with various hand tools, fixtures, and testing equipment.
- Document the manufacturing process by collecting test data and using databases and office programs.
- Engage in problem-solving to address production challenges and make informed process decisions.
- Assist in the selection and setup of specialized equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Carry out equipment setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
- Adhere to audit and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in manufacturing or mechanical assembly is required. A background in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes is essential. Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous. Familiarity with Clean Room environments is a plus. Proficiency in Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) is expected.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to work efficiently within a team of 8-10 colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills to address problems both independently and collaboratively.
- Capability to support projects, conduct training, and work effectively as part of cohesive teams.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for successful collaboration with colleagues from diverse cultural, language, and educational backgrounds. Must be able to work in appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
