This is a Direct Hire position for a Maintenance Technician focused on equipment located in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication machinery, collaborating closely with the management team to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Engage with colleagues, supervisors, and engineering teams to analyze root causes of equipment failures, utilizing insights to enhance equipment reliability and meet production targets.
- Coordinate with vendors and technical representatives, and participate in training sessions as necessary.
- Document all maintenance activities performed on equipment meticulously.
- Attend daily meetings to communicate ongoing activities and shift updates.
- Work in a cleanroom environment, adhering to strict cleanliness protocols and wearing appropriate attire.
- Be prepared to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle hazardous materials as required.
Qualifications:
- An Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent military experience is essential. Exceptions may be made for highly experienced technicians.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a high-volume semiconductor setting, with maintenance expertise on at least one of the specified tools.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols established by the company.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively to implement improvements through systematic experimentation.
- Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills are required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Comfort with computer operations and basic familiarity with MS Office applications is advantageous.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities is necessary.
- A hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership are crucial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift weights exceeding 35 pounds.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks that may require bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
- Willingness to wear a respirator and other PPE when handling hazardous materials.
Specific Experience Required:
- Experience and strong skills in at least one of the following tool families:
- Thin Films CVD Equipment, including Novellus Concept Two (C-2) or similar.
- Thin Films IMPLANT Equipment, preferably with Axcelis 8200 or comparable systems.
- Thin Films Sputter Deposition (PVD Equipment), including Trikon Sigma 200 or equivalent.
- Etch HDP equipment experience is also valuable.
- Strong RF troubleshooting skills are highly sought after.
- Experience in conducting technical training is preferred, as the candidate will be expected to mentor others.
- Willingness to work night shifts is an advantage.
- Ability to create and edit technical documentation, including specifications and training materials, is highly desired.
