Radiation Therapist

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cancer treatment program.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Radiation Therapist to provide per diem coverage for our Radiation Oncology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiation therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery
- Verify treatment plans and settings, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and quality control checks
- Participate in simulation procedures, including patient setup, immobilization, and shielding
- Assure accurate and complete capture of procedure and charges
- Provide backup coverage for diagnostic radiography as needed
- Associates Degree of Applied Science or certificate in Radiological Technology with a certificate in Radiation Therapy Technology
- Registration and Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists in the specific discipline of Radiation Therapy
- Maintain licensure by the State of Mississippi
- Maintain CPR Certification
- Has demonstrated knowledge of serving adult and geriatric population
