Per Diem Radiation Therapist

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide accurate and efficient radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient-specific factors and treatment goals.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on radiation therapy equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
- Simulation and Verification: Conduct simulations and verify treatment plans to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments, including treatment plans, simulation results, and patient outcomes. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Education and Certification: Associate's degree in Applied Science or certificate in Radiological Technology with a certificate in Radiation Therapy Technology. Registration and certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists in Radiation Therapy.
- Licensure and Certification: Maintain licensure by the State of Mississippi and CPR certification.
- Experience and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of serving adult and geriatric populations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
