Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging - Faculty Role - Department of Radiology

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is on the lookout for a seasoned radiologist to take on the role of Section Chief for our Musculoskeletal Imaging Team. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a specialized group of radiologists in enhancing and expanding our musculoskeletal imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing the Musculoskeletal Section, which includes establishing objectives, implementing process enhancements, and formulating growth strategies.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, supervising, and mentoring medical professionals, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellows.
  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality, cost-efficient care while maintaining an exceptional patient experience.
  • Representing the section in departmental, hospital, and system-wide meetings.
  • Fostering strong collaborative relationships with orthopedic surgery, rheumatology, physiatry, sports medicine, and rehabilitation services.
  • Leading initiatives for process enhancement, clinical integration, and the adoption of evidence-based practices.
  • Overseeing quality assurance, safety protocols, educational programs, research initiatives, and fellowship opportunities.
  • Actively participating in the clinical and academic leadership team of the department.

  • MCW Radiology offers a hybrid working model, allowing faculty to engage in both academic and community practice.
  • The department provides various post-graduate fellowships, residency programs in diagnostic and interventional radiology, and clinical rotations for medical students and physician associate students.

  • Collaboration is fundamental to our operations, with a team comprising over 110 clinical faculty radiologists, 11 imaging science faculty, 15 instructors/fellows, 45 residents, 16 advanced practice providers, and 69 support staff.
