Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging - Faculty Role - Department of Radiology

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Radiology Department is in search of a seasoned radiologist to take on the role of Section Chief for our Musculoskeletal Radiology Team. This position presents an opportunity to guide a group of specialized radiologists in enhancing and expanding our musculoskeletal imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the Musculoskeletal Section, which includes establishing objectives, implementing process enhancements, optimizing workflows, and formulating growth strategies.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, managing, and mentoring physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellows.
  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality, cost-efficient care while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
  • Representing the section in departmental, hospital, and system-wide meetings.
  • Maintaining and fostering strong collaborative relationships with orthopedic surgery, rheumatology, physiatry, sports medicine, and rehabilitation services.
  • Promoting process enhancements, clinical integration, and the adoption of evidence-based practices.
  • Supervising quality, safety, education, research, and fellowship initiatives.
  • Actively participating in the department's clinical and academic leadership team.

  • The Department of Radiology is recognized for its innovative approach and continues to grow within a dynamic multi-site hospital and clinic network in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. MCW Radiology offers a hybrid model that allows faculty to engage in both academic and community settings.
  • The Department provides post-graduate fellowships, diagnostic radiology residency, interventional radiology residency, medical physics residency, and elective clinical rotations for medical students and physician associate students.
  • The Department is open to exploring creative staffing solutions to meet our increasing demand.
  • Access to state-of-the-art imaging technology with opportunities for collaboration with basic research scientists and a major equipment vendor in the Milwaukee metro area.
  • Collaboration is fundamental to our operations within the department and with other organizational units. Our Radiology team comprises over 110 clinical faculty radiologists, 11 imaging science faculty, 15 instructors/fellows, 45 residents, 16 advanced practice providers, and 69 support staff.
