About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our team at KLM Careers. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams to develop and manage documentation for a novel medical device. With 5+ years of experience in mechanical drafting, you will leverage your expertise in utilizing SolidWorks for modeling complex 3D systems and drafting components to drive project success. Your strong understanding of GD&T as per ASME Y14.5 and experience in generating and managing BOM structures, ECRs, and documentation through a QMS will be critical in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in your work. Additionally, experience with mechanical design for medical devices is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to capture design outputs for a novel medical device
- Develop and manage documentation, including CAD models, fabrication drawings, procedures, BOMs, and specifications
- Build and manage accurate 3D CAD models of novel and complex medical devices
- Generate and manage fabrication drawings for all elements of the medical device
- Manage all documents accurately in a QMS
