Position Overview

The Director of Nursing Support plays a crucial role in supervising and directing all nursing support functions that deliver administrative, operational, clinical, and quality assistance across nursing departments. This position is essential for coordinating nursing services, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, and creating a nurturing environment for nursing personnel to provide outstanding patient care. Additionally, this role guarantees that nursing support services align with the organization's quality, safety, and compliance standards. The director collaborates closely with both external and internal service providers to coordinate care, negotiate contracts, and oversee performance metrics.

Clinical Support Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to provide clinical support. Applies knowledge of professional nursing practices to deliver age-appropriate care support grounded in scientific principles, nursing standards, and patient care protocols for diverse patient populations.

Essential Qualifications

Work Experience

A minimum of five years in a leadership, supervisory, or management role is required, preferably within a clinical environment.

Licensure and Certifications

Must possess a current TX/Compact RN License, along with CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Attainment of Nurse Executive Leadership certification or an equivalent nursing specialty certification is highly preferred.

Educational Background

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  2. Must fulfill unit-specific educational requirements as per established policies.

  9. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety protocols.
  10. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
