At Smith Chason College, we are committed to providing high-quality education and training to our students. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Faculty member, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of medical imaging by teaching and mentoring our students.

As a faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering effective instruction and guidance to students in the general ultrasound discipline. You will work closely with department team members to ensure that our students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them for success in the medical workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that align with approved syllabi and program standards.
  • Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students, acknowledging and accommodating their diverse personal differences and educational needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring the proper functioning of instructional equipment and reporting any malfunctions promptly to the Program Director.
  • Monitor student progress and report academic success issues and code of conduct violations to the Program Director using appropriate forms and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of four years of practical work experience in the relevant subject area(s) and possess a degree at least at the same level as the course being taught.
  • Maintain current certification(s) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and meet all continuing education requirements set by Smith Chason College.
  • Exhibit strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Can independently move objects up to 25 lbs.
  • Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, other office machinery, and perform repetitive motions.

Salary: $45.00 per hour
