Position Overview:


We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our Water team, focusing on enhancing infrastructure within our Tampa office.

Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in civil and/or environmental engineering and have between zero to three years of experience in structural engineering. Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and/or Revit is advantageous. Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication skills are crucial. Candidates should be self-driven and capable of collaborating effectively with team members. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule will be available after 90 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support for various water utility projects, including collection systems, pump stations, wastewater treatment, reclaimed water, water treatment, water distribution, and other related civil engineering projects.
- Conduct engineering calculations and analyze alternative solutions.
- Create design reports and construction plans adhering to local and state standards.
- Develop construction plans utilizing AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit.
- Review plans and specifications thoroughly.
- Prepare and assist with permit submissions.
- Generate preliminary project cost estimates and assess quantities.
- Collaborate on scope, budget, and scheduling of new project tasks.
- Monitor task budgets and progress.
- Document design modifications and communications.
- Perform on-site inspections as required.
- Compile project status reports and other necessary documentation.
- Assist in proposal preparation.
- Support Project Managers.
- Participate in client, public, project, and staff meetings, including client progress, plan reviews, and preconstruction discussions.
- Maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is mandatory.
- Experience: 0 to 3 years in a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit is preferred.
