Overview:
As a Commercial Lines Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting insurance policies for various sectors, including construction and general liability. This role involves a thorough analysis of applications, financial documents, and risk factors to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of property and general liability lines.
- Analyze applications, credit histories, and previous claims to establish risk profiles.
- Make informed decisions to accept, decline, or adjust pricing and coverage limits based on risk evaluations.
- Review and authorize applications that exceed the authority limits set for the managing general agent.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in underwriting commercial casualty insurance, with a focus on general liability. Familiarity with commercial auto insurance is advantageous.
